If you’re a fan of Dexter and keytar-heavy post-90’s synth pop, you’ll want to dress up and head to the Oriental Theater this Thursday night, March 31. Don’t miss this chance to be part of the early “in crowd” and catch not only Micheal C. Hall – in all his superstar rock-god glory – but also keyboardist (and key-tarist) Matt Katz-Bohen (from Blondie) and drummer Peter Yanowitz (from The Wallflowers) in the first tour of their band Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum. The supergroup found each other during a recent residency on Broadway performing in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum is a swirl of glam…

The inaugural tour began just about ten days ago, and has been receiving strong reviews for charismatic stage presence (duh), and some pretty wicked pop-rock antics. And – who doesn’t LOVE a great key-tar player?! Check out this video of their cover of Phantogram’s “Cruel World,” for a taste…

For more info about the band, read on through this description via PRESS HERE:

“… the band’s live show is exciting and eerie, mesmerizing and impassioned. “When they began to play, magic occurred,” said When The Horn Blows. “From the opening notes of their set, the trio were a sight and sound to behold. Piercing synth tore through the venue as the night set off on an explosive journey of bass heavy electronica and almost vaudeville-esque crooning. Meanwhile, the rows of lights shining through the smoke gave the venue an almost ultraviolet feel, as if the entire show was just a shared hallucinogenic fever dream.”

Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum’s 2021 debut album THANKS FOR COMING showcases the band’s myriad influences that converge to create the sound that has been earning critical acclaim since the release of the band’s self-titled EP from Rolling Stone, BillboardPaper, Alternative Press, Associated Press, Consequence of Sound, … and more..

Fueled by synthesizers and drums, Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum is a swirl of glam, experimental, ambient music of David Bowie, Giorgio Moroder’s ‘70s disco productions for Donna Summer, ‘80s new wave dance music, and contemporary electronic dance acts like Justice.”

It’s not too late to get the few tickets that are left – don’t miss this one, Denver!
